Our Advance Nurse Practioner is an urgent care nurse. They will have same-day appointments for acute, urgent problems. They can prescribe within their remit for many conditions.

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning and healthy living advice. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears, travel vaccinations and baby vaccinations. These nurses can prescribe within the remit ie chest infection, wound infection, urinary tract infection. They also carry out minor illness appointments.

They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one. They carry out wound care and chronic disease management. They also do seasonal vaccinations including flu, pneumonia and shingles vaccinations.
