    Special Interests: I have special interests in women's health including coil and implant fitting, diabetes and mental health, but also love being a generalist and looking after all problems. I am passionate about adopting a 'Lifestyle Medicine' approach, and the importance of proactively taking care of our physical and mental health through diet, exercise and proper relaxation. I am particularly passionate about preventing symptoms and illness through supporting lifestyle change and host an ‘Action for Happiness’ group in York

    Bio: I grew up in York and trained at St Mary's Hospital London, qualifying in 1994. I had short spells in Brighton and Australia before returning permanently to lovely York, where I live with my husband and three children. I have been a partner at the practice since 2001. I love being a family doctor and being able to offer continuity of care wherever possible. I love yoga, running, and cycling and spending time with my family and friends.

    Special Interests: I am interested in all aspects of Medicine, and really enjoy the variety of General Practice.

    Bio: ?I trained to be a GP on the South Coast and took up a Partnership at a practice in South London in 2004 where I spent 14 fantastic years. I joined York Medical Group as a Partner in 2018 following a family decision to move to York. We love it here. I am really passionate about Medicine, the NHS and about teaching and education. I really enjoy being a GP trainer and working with medical and nursing students. I have also run a GP training programme and have co-authored a couple of books for trainees about the GP consultation.

    Bio: I graduated University of Aberdeen 2001 but I'm from Scarborough originally. I have lived in Rawcliffe for 15 years and I'm married to my husband Pete. I have two boys aged 9 & 7.

    Bio: I qualified at Leeds in 2008 and joined York Medical Group in 2017. I have sought to broaden my medical knowledge by living and working as a GP in Western Australia, Perth. I take an active role in the medical student teaching programme for both 1st & 2nd-year students attending the practice.

    Working Days: Friday and alternate Saturday mornings, normally from the water lane surgery.

    Special Interests: Having worked previously in mental health services, David has a special interest in mental health, he also has a diploma in dermatology.

    Bio: David first joined Clifton Medical Practice in 1992, having trained in London and moved to the GP training scheme in York. He is married to Kate, a nurse at York hospital and has three children. Although David only works now 1½ days a week in the surgery, the rest of the week he works in London as the Director of Primary Care Commissioning for NHS England.

    In his time off, when not catching up on emails, he likes cooking, walking and trying to learn Italian

Welcome to the new look York Medical Group Website. We hope to have made a more user friendly and easier to navigate website.
