If you need urgent treatment or advice outside of normal surgery hours, please consider using one of the following options:

NHS Direct can help with absolutely any health query, and can inform you on where to go to get the best treatment. They are available to call 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Please call 111 for assistance.
Out of Hours GP Services: 0330 1230938
If you need urgent medical care or access to a GP when the surgery is closed, please phone the above number. This is an emergency service, and not to be used for routine services.
Urgent Care Centre
You can visit an Urgent Care Centre for treatment and advice without an appointment. Anyone can attend, no matter where they are registered with a GP. The Urgent Care Centre is now located in the emergency department at York Hospital.
In an Emergency
In an emergency, dial 999. A&E and 999 services are for emergency and life threatening conditions only, such as:
- Loss of consciousness,
- Pain that is not relieved by simple analgesia,
- Acute confused state,
- Persistent, severe chest pain, or
- Breathing difficulties.
